Bio
A native of Long Island, NY, Tom Camarda came west to study Film at UC Santa Barbara, then dove straight into production — landing a camera trainee job on the Warner Bros. feature War of The Buttons.
His early years at broadcast design powerhouse Pittard Sullivan sharpened his eye and pushed him to experiment fearlessly with photography and cinematography. That creative instinct paid off: his contributions helped earn the company four Emmy nominations for Best Main Title Design.
From there, Tom built a prolific commercial career, shooting hundreds of promos, music videos, and spots for brands including PlayStation, Microsoft, ABC, CBS, STARZ, ESPN, DirecTV, Mercury Insurance, Dish TV, and Nickelodeon.
His transition into long form narrative began on the final two seasons of THE MENTALIST for CBS, which opened the door to a long-running collaboration with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. That partnership produced some of TV's most recognizable series: TRAINING DAY (FOX), four seasons of LUCIFER (Netflix), NATIONAL TREASURE (Disney+), and all three seasons of the CSI: LAS VEGAS reboot (CBS/Paramount+) — where he also stepped into the director's chair for episode 309. Recent feature work includes Aftermath and Edge of Fear (both Netflix) along with the indie feature Or Else, currently in post-production.
Tom recently earned a certificate of completion for the AI filmmaking class offered through Curious Refuge. He is actively developing new projects and continuing to explore the opportunities in this exciting new space.
In his limited downtime, Tom enjoys surfing, traveling with his family, adding to his vinyl collection and volunteering for community service with the Rotary Club of South Pasadena, where he is currently the President - Elect!
